NTA official websites has changed the host of various entrance exams websites in India, including JEE Main, NEET UG and CUET UG that were earlier managed by NIC (National Information Center) and CUET UG that was managed on samarth portal.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) for the 2024 session exams has launched new websites including for JEE Main, NEET and CUET. Candidates can now find information and updates for the national level entrance exams, including JEE Main, NEET UG, and CUET UG, on the new centralised NTA website dedicated to exams — exams.nta.ac.in
The website seeks to offer easy navigation to dedicated pages for each exam, ensuring a streamlined experience for all test-takers.
JEE Main 2024 Update — jeemain.nta.ac.in
The new JEE Main 2024 official website is jeemain.nta.ac.in. The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) is conducted to get admission into the engineering colleges and to qualify for JEE Advanced in India. It is conducted in a hybrid mode. Paper 1 (B Tech/BE) is conducted online, while Paper 2 (B Arch) offers online sections for Aptitude and Maths and an offline (pen and paper) section for drawing.
The JEE Main 2024 second session exam was held from April 4 to April 12 and result will be declared on April 25.
The January Session result was released on February 12, 2024, for exams conducted from January 24 to February 1. If a candidate appeared in both sessions, the best JEE Main 2024 score will be considered for merit and rank.
CUET UG 2024
NTA this year has changed the host website address for the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG). The new website is exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/. Earlier, all the information was uploaded on cuet.samarth.ac.in.
Further, all CUET UG related information — admit cards, result, notifications etc — will be released on the new platform launched by NTA.
Those seeking admission to undergraduate programmes in central universities and other participating institutions can appear for the Common University Entrance Test (UG)- 2024.
The exams are scheduled between May 15 and 31, and the results will be declared on June 30.
NEET UG 2024
The new NEET UG official website is neet.ntaonline.in. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduates (NEET UG) is an exam for students seeking admission to medical programs like MBBS, BDS, AYUSH courses (BAMS, BUMS, BYNS, BHMS, BSMS), veterinary science (BVSc & AH) programs and nursing courses. Passing NEET UG grants eligibility for medical education in approved Indian institutions.
The NEET UG 2024 exam will be held on May 5. Results will be declared on June 14.
A senior officer from NTA explained the reason for the change in website and said: “Till now, NIC (National Informatics Centre) used to host the online application forms of the JEE Main. Now NTA has developed this new platform and is in the process of using its own server for activities related to hosting the online application forms, and generating the city intimation slip, admit card, and score card, etc,”.
The new website also has an automated chat feature that serves as an online assistant for aspirants. Students can find this online chat option at the bottom right corner.
