NEET Toppers Tips: To just qualify NEET UG, the topper now in AIIMS New Delhi feels, the NTA Abhyas app test papers are sufficient, however to be among the toppers, one should go beyond NTA Abhyas app.

NEET UG 2024: Pragata Ghosh bagged all-India rank 31 in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2023 by scoring 710 marks out of 720. Ghosh is now pursuing his MBBS from AIIMS New Delhi.

The 18-year-old Ghosh from West Bengal scored 96 per cent overall marks in Class 10 and 97 per cent marks in Class 12.

The NEET UG all-India rank holder took a two-year-long offline coaching course from Allen Institute. However, as the lockdown was imposed due to Covid, the classes switched to online mode. Speaking to the indianexpress.com, Ghosh shares how he prepared for the NEET.

How did you prepare for NEET UG?

After my classes in coaching got over in November, I mainly focussed on solving mock tests. I gave at least two mock tests during that period. I was also enrolled in a distance learning programme at Aakash Byju’s and appeared for the mock tests provided by them. Students should start taking these tests after a topic is over. To understand only the exam pattern, students should check mock test papers on the first day of preparation.

I also printed the mock test papers available at the NTA Abhyas app. I used to practice the ones from them as well but for many test papers, I just checked the question and the options.

To just qualify the NEET UG, the NTA Abhyas app test papers are sufficient, however, to be among the toppers, one should go beyond and look for more options.

What would you recommend to NEET UG 2024 aspirants?

– Focus on NCERT books. Read between the lines and understand the underlying meanings.

– Stay calm with the preparation.
